Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer’s fantastic play on Sunday made the final victory over Czech Republic seem like a walk in the park. The kind of aggression and determination displayed by the Spanish team on the court from Friday to Sunday gave the event its usual spectacular touch.
Rafael Nadal set the winning tone for the weekend for the team by going up against Tomas Berdych and accomplishing a score of 7-5, 6-0 and 6-2. Along came David Ferrer and gave Spain the lead by setting a score of 1-6, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 and 8-6 against Radek Stepanek. The doubles on Saturday only made things worse for the Czechs or rather more pleasant for Spain. The doubles were played between Spain’s Feliciano Lopez/ Fernando Verdasco and Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych/ Radek Stepanek. The first set of the doubles got extremely exciting as the score board read 7-6. The next set was observed keenly by the audience and both teams as the score came to 7-5. However, the duo of Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco smashed the Czech Republic’s efforts by putting a final score of 6-2 on Saturday. This win made Spain the proud champion of Davis Cup 2009.
By the time the fourth rubber was played on Sunday Czech Republic was seen struggling for a win and anticipation ran in the crowd whether Spain could manage a whitewash victory or not. The deal was finally settled when Rafael Nadal posted a 6-3, 6-4 win over Jan Hajek who is the world No. 102. In spite of achieving the title the Spaniards did not relax and David Ferrer went on to conquer the fifth rubber by 
carding a score of 6-4, 6-2 against Lukas Dlouhy. With their final win on Sunday the Spanish team became the second team to achieve a whitewash in the finals since Sweden beat United States by a lead of 5-0 back in 1997. Spain has also become the first country to successfully defend its title since the Swedes in 1998.
Rafael Nadal showed improvement and recovery of form and fitness over the weekend that marked the end of the trying season. David Ferrer’s win over Radek Stepanek was said to be nothing less than a heroic feat and gave the fans and crown an epic drama that would not be forgotten anytime soon. Spanish Captain Albert Costa was extremely proud of being able to defend the title as well as gain a whitewash victory over Czech Republic. Spanish tennis was appreciated not only by the crowd and fans but also by the opponents. Radek Stepanek stated that winning the Davis Cup four times in a span of nine years simply said everything about the kind of game the Spaniards play. The next season of the Davis Cup will put extra pressure on the champions to defend their title and will be eagerly awaited by fans to see if they can manage the victory three times in a row.

I have a beautiful example of a Bell & Ross by Sinn 256 chronograph. This chronograph was originally designed on the 1980s for helicopter pilots. The sandblasted stainless case is 38.5 mm in diameter. Water resistant to 100 meters. Back and Crown are Screw-down……Bezel is bi-directional.
It has a Valjoux 7750 movement with the day/date feature and a 42 hour reserve. The sub-dials display 60 second, 30 minute and 12- hour counters
The mil-spec acrylic crystal is unblemished. The case is unmarked.
I think you would be hard pressed to find a better one that was not actually new. It comes with the original boxes and Bell & Ross bracelet (12 links) and diver’s extension. It functions perfectly and keeps great time. Also included is a brand new black padded Sinn strap.
